Sacred place of worship
In the Polígono la Viñuela, one of the first Constantinian basilicas of Hispania is located and one of the basic pillars for the knowledge and dissemination of the origin of Christianity in the Iberian Peninsula.
The Interpretation Center of the Basilica and the Origin of Christianity was inaugurated in 2008, recovering and valuing this important site that appeared in the Cortijo Coracho Site. The basilica church, associated with a necropolis, has a chronology from the 4th to the 7th centuries. Its origin goes back to the first moments of imperial legalization of Christianity in the Constantinian era, first half of the fourth century. The visit to the Interpretation Center allows us to contemplate a central nave separated from the sides by columns and choir, a semicircular western apse with a priestly bench inside, a baptistery or exempt mausoleum at the feet and a rectangular apse on its eastern side.
